Tulum Ruins

The Tulum Ruins are considered to be some of the most beautiful of Mayan ruins mostly because of its location on a cliff overlooking the beautiful sea. It is a walled city that served as the Port for Coba. It is thought to be the habitation for the ruling trading class and priests of the immediate area. Tulum is a fairly small site compared to the larger ones it served like Coba or Chichen Itza. It is completely walled with trails and descriptions in several languages (English, Spanish and Mayan) in front of each building. it is self explaining and known more for its views and beauty than history. There are guides available for about 50 usd for an hours tour but most people are satisfied to just wonder through at their own pace. For Coba and Chichen Itza which are much larger and complex we provide a guide. You spend about an hour or hour and half. Tulum ruins are included in our basic tour.
